Bio


Dr. David J. Martin. Dr. Martin is widely considered the premiere specialist in the total joint replacement of knees and hips in Southern Arizona. Dr. Martin is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.  Dr. Martin has been named Top Doctor by Tucson Lifestyle for the past four years. 

Dr. Martin graduated from the College of Idaho and continued his education at Northwestern University, where he completed both medical school and his residency. He moved from Chicago to Tucson in 1981, and has been a solo practitioner since 1988. Dr. Martin was one of the first doctors in the country to utilize computer-assisted surgical techniques for the placement of joints. He enjoys painting, sailing, and archery. Dr. Martin and his wife have been married for over thirty years and have two wonderful children together. 

Dr. Martin speaks monthly about total joint replacement at the La Paloma Urgent Care classroom at 4001E. Sunrise, Tucson AZ, 85718.
