David D. Leonard, MD FAAFP has over 25 years of clinical experience and has been in the private practice of family medicine and geriatrics in Fairfax since 1989 after completing his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Leonard is board certified in Family Practice and has earned Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Leonard is also a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Leonard's mission is to provide modern medical care with old fashion caring. As an independent practitioner, he takes pride in providing one-on-one personalized medical care and he works as a patient advocate to ensure his patients receive the finest medical care available. He is passionate about incorporating the latest advances in medicine into his practice while embodying the compassionate care seen in bygone eras. Dr. Leonard chose to practice family medicine because he wanted to really know his patients and address their unique concerns.
