Dr. Dana Kang, co-owner of Glendale Dermatology, located in Glendale, California and serving the greater Los Angeles area, is a leading, board-certified dermatologist. She has extensive knowledge and experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Kang is committed to providing each patient with the care that they need to feel confident and happy with their skin.

Dr. Kang earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Amherst College before receiving her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). While at UCSF, Dr. Kang gained extensive research experience working with Dr. John Koo, a world-renowned leader in the treatment of psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. She went on to complete her internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, followed by a residency in dermatology at the University of Southern California (USC). During her residency, she served as chief resident. Dr. Kang authored an article titled, “Giant Subcutaneous Tumors on the Thighs” that was published in the Archives of Dermatology. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at USC, teaching dermatology residents a wide range of surgical and cosmetic techniques and was recognized by USC with an outstanding teaching award. Dr. Kang is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Skin conditions of any kind can cause anxiety, insecurity and frustration. With that understanding, Dr. Kang works with each patient to devise the best treatment plan for his or her individual needs. She understands that some patients favor a conservative approach while others are eager to try the newest medications. Dr. Kang keeps current on the latest research by regularly attending the Fall Clinical Dermatology Conference.

Having a particular interest in aesthetics, Dr. Kang views cosmetic dermatology as an art.  In Dr. Kang’s hands, no two patients receive exactly the same treatment. Like a piece of her, each patient’s beauty is unique. She is highly experienced in many cosmetic techniques, including: Botox, fillers and lasers. She also enjoys educating patients on what each product can achieve.  

Dr. Kang is dedicated to providing her patients with the best possible care, helping them to achieve and maintain healthy and youthful skin. She speaks English, Spanish, and Korean. When not working, Dr. Kang enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, trying out new restaurants, and traveling.
