As a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas, I offer a comprehensive array of surgical procedures, including breast reconstruction, aesthetic facial surgery, hand surgery, liposuction, post-weight loss body contouring, and pediatric plastic surgery. I completed medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and continued with residency training at the University of Massachusetts where, for my last year, I served as chief resident. Throughout my extensive training, I have had the privilege of traveling overseas on mission trips to operate on patients with cleft lips and palates. While earning my subspecialty fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital, I operated on patients with a variety of cleft and craniofacial conditions. Practicing at Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas allows me to fulfill my passion of helping others achieve their cosmetic and reconstructive goals.
Plastic surgeons perform a wide variety of surgeries that can restore or correct the form and function of the human body, which can be either cosmetic or reconstructive in nature. Dr. Rowin is able to correct abnormalities of the body that may be causing adverse health effects, or perform surgeries to correct malformations caused by birth defects, trauma, tumors or disease. He also performs elective surgeries, which patients undergo to improve the aesthetic appearance of a certain body part.
