Dr. Christy Capet treats women from throughout the Austin, Texas area at Austin Area OB/GYN. She has a vast amount of experience in vaginal reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery (i.e. Da Vinci Robotic Surgery).
Dr. Capet spent her childhood in Tyler, TX before moving to Dallas to attend the University of Dallas in Irving. She received her Bachelor of Arts in History, graduating Cum Laude, while also competing in Track and Field as a Heptathlete. She then went on to obtain her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center, in Houston, and continued her training at the University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Capet then spent a year specializing in gynecologic surgery during an additional year of training in the Susan B. Frank Fellowship for Advanced Pelvic Surgery with Texas Health Resources – Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
Her outside interests include community outreach programs, a love of the outdoors, staying fit, and running half marathons. She loves to travel and has lived abroad in Rome. Her personality is outgoing and she is passionate about providing patients with the very latest in treatment options.
