Dr. Contreras performed an UGI scope on my wife before Christmas, diagnosing gastroparesis and partial mechanical blockage. Before the follow up appt. we researched her condition and were ready w/questions re alternative treatment. Dr. Contreras was disrespectful, refusing to answer our questions, emphasizing that "diet was the only treatment". He didn't offer to provide a copy of the scope report until I asked, and then ran out the door w/out offering to interpret. We didn't disclose my wife is a psychologist and I a Nurse Practitioner. He displayed a lack of basic provider-patient communication skills. MW, RN, MSN, FNP-C
