Dr. Chalunkal is fellowship trained in pain medicine and where appropriate will treat spine disorders and injuries without surgery using therapy, injections, and other conservative modalities.Dr. Chalunkal is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury, NY and completed an internship at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY as well as a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center & Columbia University in New York, NY.
