Dr. Brian Margolis graduated from Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 1981 before completing a residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in New York, NY from 1981 to 1984. He then completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital & Medical Center from 1984 to 1986.

Critical care pulmonologists are trained in two closely-related areas of medicine: pulmonology & critical care. As a critical care specialist, Dr. Margolis is also trained to stabilize patients who are in critical condition and require mechanical ventilation.
