My practice is focused on the evaluation and management of conditions that affect the neck and back. While most painful spine conditions respond well to non-surgical treatment, in those cases in which surgery is necessary, it may be reassuring for you to know that I am fellowship-trained in spine surgery, and that my practice is dedicated entirely to spine care. I employ minimally invasive spine surgery techniques whenever appropriate in order to limit post-operative discomfort and hasten recovery.I graduated from Northwestern University Medical School where I also completed orthopedic residency. I completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Louisville. I have had the pleasure of being associated with SCOI since 1997.In additon to my medical commitments, I enjoy playing the guitar, photography, mountain biking, and spending time with my wife and two sons. Please let me know if there is anything my team or I can do to assist you in your care.
Being an orthopedic surgeon in California, Dr. Grossman is trained to treat and identify all forms of injury to your musculoskeletal system, including the bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and joints. After making a diagnosis, Dr. Grossman will often resort to surgery when all the other treatment options have already been exhausted or ruled out. Patients might need the attention of an orthopedic surgeon for torn ligaments, sports injuries, fractures, sprains, and more.
Specializing in orthopedic spine surgery, Dr. Grossman can diagnose and treat a range of conditions affecting the spine. These may include degenerative diseases, arthritic conditions, fractures, tumors, deformities such as scoliosis, and other conditions. Treatment techniques may range from invasive to minimally-invasive surgeries of the spine and vertebrae. However, depending upon the patient's diagnosis and medical history, treatments may be non-surgical in nature.
