Dr. Brad Cohen is a board certified hematologist and medical oncologist who went to medical school at UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School and residency at UMDNJ- University Hospital with his third year spent as Chief Medical Resident. He then went on to undergo a fellowship in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and a hematology fellowship at both MSKCC and Weill-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Cohen had a focus on hematologic malignancies and more specifically, lymphoma, during his training and published articles on the clinical management of indolent lymphomas.
Dr. Brad Cohen then decided to focus on practice management of patients with both oncologic and hematologic diseases and joined a group practice in Rockland County, NY in July 2001. He became a full partner with Hematology Oncology Associates of Rockland, P.C. in July 2005. Dr. Cohen sees a wide spectrum of diseases from more common malignancies, such as breast, lung and colorectal cancer, as well as anemias such as iron deficiency and sickle cell disease to less common diseases such as lymphoma, leukemia and coagulation disorders.
As a hematologist / oncologist in New York, Dr. Cohen is capable of diagnosing and treating patients with blood-related disorders, malignancies, or cancers. Dr. Cohen may treat a range of conditions ranging from the the common to the very rare and complex. As a result, Dr. Cohen may provide care as part of a multidisciplinary team, working in conjunction with other specialists to ensure the highest possible standard of care.
