Dr. Szopa joined Lincoln Surgical Associates in 2005. He finished his surgical training in Ohio at Case Western Reserve University before spending 10 years in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio. He is on staff at both Memorial Hospital and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville. Currently, he is a partner of Lincoln Surgical Associates and is chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. In addition to being in private practice, Dr. Szopa has helped to educate young physicians by volunteering as clinical faculty with Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Szopa has earned multiple academic and surgical awards during his training and career in private practice. He is married with two children and enjoys spending time with his family.
