Dr. Christiano received his medical degree from New York Medical College and his internship in general surgery/orthopaedic surgery from Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. Dr. Christiano underwent his residency in orthopaedic surgery and pediatric orthopaedic rotation from Monmouth Medical Center and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, respectively. He then went on to complete his fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Christiano has three offices in Massachusetts.
Specializing in the field of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Christiano is prepared to treat a wide range of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, which includes the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons, in either a non-surgical or surgical manner, resorting to surgery when all other treatment methods have been exhausted or ruled out. Additionally, Dr. Christiano is trained to diagnose a range of musculoskeletal conditions, such as fractures or sprains. Dr. Christiano is also trained to practice Sports Medicine.
Dr. Christiano works with six doctors including Dr. Daniel Osuch and Dr. Symeon Zannikos.
An orthopedic surgeon in Massachusetts, Dr. Christiano is qualified to treat and diagnose all varieties of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, including the muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons. Soon after arriving at a specific medical diagnosis, Dr. Christiano will often resort to surgery when all other treatment options are already ruled out or exhausted. Patients might need the care and attention of an orthopedic surgeon for sports injuries, sprains, torn ligaments, fractures, and more.
Sports medicine physicians are trained to provide treatment and prevention plans for those participating in sports and related physical activities. Dr. Christiano is trained to treat complications such as muscle tears and strains, concussions, tendon and ligament damage, shin splints, sports hernias, fractures, and a variety of others.
