Bio
Dr. Goodman’s specializes in pediatric sports medicine and concussion management.
Dr. Goodman completed her undergraduate training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and received her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. After completing her pediatric training at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, she recently completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. During her fellowship she was the Principal Investigator in a study focusing on patellofemoral pain in middle and high school athletes. Dr. Goodman worked at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Division of Orthopedic Surgery from 2008-2014 treating pediatric and adolescent athletes and research on concussions. I was named Top Doc for Kids: Sports Medicine by .SJ Magazine for the past 3 years.
Dr. Goodman’s special interests include: concussions in pediatric athletes, pediatric injuries, stress fractures, overuse injuries in pediatric athletes and injury prevention.

Sports Medicine
Sports medicine physicians are trained to provide treatment and prevention plans for those participating in sports and related physical activities. Dr. Goodman is trained to treat complications such as muscle tears and strains, concussions, tendon and ligament damage, shin splints, sports hernias, fractures, and a variety of others. Treatments may include rehabilitation services, therapies and a variety of surgical operations, among others.

Dr. Goodman is a pediatrician, a physician dedicated to helping kids of all age groups. She offers comprehensive health care for newborns, young children & teens. As a pediatrician, Dr. Goodman is a primary care provider, the first point of contact when a patient is sick. Dr. Goodman is trained to provide well-rounded health care for children of all ages and works very closely with the patient's parents & family making sure that the child is developing & maturing properly.
