Arezo Amirikia, MD, is a highly skilled ophthalmologist serving patients in the Pontiac, Michigan area. She views each patient as an individual, with a unique set of needs and goals when it comes to eye health and vision care. Now in private practice at Amirikia Eye Center, she’s proud to watch her work expand as patients bring their friends and family to seek exceptional eye care. Dr. Amirikia began her medical journey as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree. She then went on to medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Amirikia furthered her medical skills and knowledge through a residency at Kresge Eye Institute, where her hard work and dedication led to a position as chief resident. A medical retina fellowship at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan followed, in addition to a vitreoretinal fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Amirikia’s extensive training allows her to assist patients with all conditions and diseases of the eye, but she specializes in diagnosing and treating retinal disorders. Her abilities in intravitreal injections and laser therapy have led many people to seek her care for age-related macular degeneration, as well as retinal vascular occlusions, diabetic retinopathy, and other severe eye disorders.   Dr. Amirikia is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
