Bio
Dr. Alfonso J. Henriquez was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. He is a graduate of “La Universidad Del Norte” in Colombia, where he received his Medical Doctor Degree in 1998. He completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Puerto Rico, School Of Medicine at the University Pediatric Hospital in 2006.
He practiced in different pediatrics and general medicine fields, including ER,
PICU Pediatric Ward in different Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Florida facilities. Since 2009 he has been working in an office setting as a primary pediatrician in South Florida.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is also American Board of Obesity Medicine certified. He is licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Texas, and Puerto Rico and maintains privileges at Palms West Hospital, Wellington Regional Medical Center, and Good Samaritan Medical Center.
