Dr. Aileen Danko graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1994 before completing a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Durham Veteran's Administration Hospital in Durham, NC from 1996 to 2000. She then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics at Shriner's Hospital for Children in 2001.
Dr. Danko has two offices in Florida where she specializes in Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery.
An orthopedic surgeon in Florida, Dr. Danko is qualified to identify and treat trauma to the musculoskeletal system, such as the joints, muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments. After reaching a specific medical diagnosis, Dr. Danko will normally turn to surgery when all other treatment methods are already exhausted or eliminated. Patients might need the attention of an orthopedic surgeon for sports injuries, sprains, torn ligaments, fractures, and more.
Pediatric surgeons are to children what general surgeons are to adults, performing a wide range of surgeries on the organs and structures of the abdomen. Because children are still maturing and growing, their surgical needs are much different from that of an adult. Dr. Danko has been specifically trained to take these and other factors into account when planning for and performing pediatric surgeries.
