I have practiced for nearly 8 years at Brenner Children's Hospital, 2 years are Duke Children's Hospital before that. I treat "routine" conditions, like recurrent ear infections and recurrent Strep throat. I also treat more complicated problems, such as cholesteatoma, hearing loss and deafness, congenital neck mass like thyroglossal duct cysts, and sinusitis (to mention a few).
As an ear, nose & throat specialist, otolaryngologist Dr. Adele Evans offers medical and surgical care for patients suffering from complications, diseases and disorders of the head and neck – including the ears, nose and throat. Dr. Evans may treat a variety of disorders that affect upper-airway breathing, speech, swallowing, and balance and hearing, among other functions. Common conditions treated by an otolaryngologist may include post-nasal drip, asthma, and ear infections.
Pediatric surgeons are to children what general surgeons are to adults, performing a wide range of surgeries on the organs and structures of the abdomen. Because children are still maturing and growing, their surgical needs are much different from that of an adult. Dr. Evans has been specifically trained to take these and other factors into account when planning for and performing pediatric surgeries.
