Bio


Doctor Ada del Rivero Yamuy has been practicing medicine since 1981. Since then she’s had vast experience diagnosing and treating patients in the clinical field of medicine.  Throughout her practice she has also managed patients regarding anxiety, depression, insomnia, substance abuse, along with many other emotional conditions.  She is now a psychoanalyst in-training, and in addition to seeing patients as a physician is also offering therapy/counseling for a diverse range of problems, including: anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, and substance abuse. Doctor del Rivero takes extra care in devoting her attention to the people who come to see her.  She creates a safe and warm environment without the pressure of quickness in time; she believes active listening is essential. The doctor graduated from the School of Medicine in Montevideo, Uruguay, where she was first licensed to practice.  Later she received her license in Puerto Rico and California, where she now works out of her own private general practice in Culver City. Due to her background, and ability to communicate in both English and her native language Spanish, Dr del Rivero has a special aptitude in taking care of patients from all different cultures, religions and socioeconomic circumstances.  Her varied education, furthermore, gives her a unique perspective, where she can link her understanding of the physical body and the emotional world of a person, bringing attention to the relationship between
