William D. King MD JD is a caring compassionate physician who puts his patients first. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. King has opened his first private practice only minutes from his childhood home, where his parents still live. Dr. King graduated with a degree in Cellular/Molecular Biology from California State University at Northridge. Dr. King obtained a dual degree in medicine and law from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed an internal medicine residency at Harvard Medical school’s Cambridge Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He returned to Los Angeles, to complete two fellowships at University of California at Los Angeles.
Dr King is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been certified as a HIV specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.He is known nationally and internationally for his work in HIV/AIDS which includes lectures, publishing several peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and clinical trial investigations.
Dr. King has received numerous awards for leadership, volunteerism and community support. His work and lectures have been recognized both nationally and internationally in South Africa, Uganda and Ghana. Dr. King is a progressive physician who is gathering an unique medical team that will combine Western and Eastern Medicine with mental health services in order to maximize your health.
