Thomas Jones, MD, knew after his first family medicine rotation in medical school that he made the right decision to focus on that area, despite it being the hardest to master. Dr. Jones really cares about his patients at the Apple Valley Medical Center in Apple Valley, Minnesota, and works hard to provide all-encompassing care for the whole person. The well-loved doctor was named “One of the Best Doctors of 2014” by Minnesota Monthly magazine. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Jones is trained to manage a number of acute medical conditions, including abdominal pain, cold symptoms, and painful urination, and long-term illnesses such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Dr. Jones went to Boston University for his undergraduate degree. From Boston, he went to Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, for medical school. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Tennessee St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Jones is a board-certified family practice physician. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians.
