Bio

Thomas A. Dalsaso, Jr., M.D. is the Director of the Facial Plastic Surgery Center of Colorado Springs and specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery.  He was raised in Colorado Springs and graduated from Air Academy High School.  He then attended the University of Notre Dame, where he studied art and graduated with a degree in studio sculpture.  After finishing near the top of his medical school class at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, he remained there to complete his surgical internship and specialty surgical training in the Department of  Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery.  Following residency, Dr. Dalsaso performed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under Dr. J. Regan Thomas at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.  During fellowship he also served as an Instructor of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, teaching medical students and residents.

Dr. Dalsaso is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.  He has given lectures and written on the topics of facial plastic surgery as well as head and neck surgery.  He was chosen to Outstanding Young Men in America in 1998.  During training he was elected the President of the Saint Louis University Resident Association and served on the Advisory Board of the Saint Louis University School of Medicine Alumni Association.  During medical school, Dr. Dalsaso was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received a National Institutes of Health summer research fellowship.  As a high school student, he was awarded the Grand Prize in the 1983 Colorado State Science Fair and Fourth Prize in the International Science and Engineering Fair.

Dr. Dalsaso returned to Colorado Springs in 1999, opening his practice in conjunction with his father.  The Facial Plastic Surgery Center was opened in 2004, and Dr. Dalsaso has operated on over 15,000 patients.  In addition to his cosmetic practice of facelifts, neck lifts, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, and skin resurfacing, Dr. Dalsaso has a vast expertise in cancer reconstruction, following Mohs surgery for basal and squamous cell carcinoma as well as  melanoma resection.  Dr. Dalsaso also personally administers Botox and Dysport and a variety of dermal fillers including Restylane and Juvederm.  In all he does, Dr. Dalsaso is a perfectionist, and uses his art background to achieve beautiful results.  In May of 2017, upon the retirement of his father, Dr. Dalsaso relocated to the Oasis at 6 Elm, in the shadow of the Broadmoor Hotel.  It is an ideal locale to continue his constant drive to achieve perfect results in a comfortable, warm environment.

Dr. Dalsaso’s non-medical interests include photography, skiing, golf, and outdoorsmanship.  He is an accomplished horseman and long time member of the Pikes Peak Range Riders.  Dr. Dalsaso is a second-generation Colorado Springs physician, is married and has five children ranging from 22 to 9 years of age.
