Dr. Tamer Mahmoud graduated from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine in 1992 before completing a residency in Ophthalmology at Duke Eye Center in Durham, NC from 2000 to 2003. He then completed a fellowship in Retina, Clinical and Basic Research at Duke Eye Center from 1997 to 1999.
