Dr. Samuel Rush is an internist based in Clovis, California at the Clovis Community Medical Center in Fresno County, CA. He began his journey at the University of Illinois, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 1964. His love for education and his desire to help others led him to earn his medical degree at the University of Illinois Medical School the following year. From 1968 to 1969, he completed his internship at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He decided he wanted a change of pace and scenery in 1969 when he relocated to the Golden State. He did a general medicine residency at the University Medical Center in Fresno, California in 1969 and 1970.He's not just a traditional doctor; he has a naval background that has given him the strength and ability to work in high-stress situations. As a medical officer and lieutenant commander, Dr. Rush gained valuable experience that can't be matched in a traditional doctor's office. After his naval career, Dr. Rush conducted another general medicine residency at the University Medical Center from 1972 until 1974. He possesses board certification in internal medicine. Additionally, he's a fellow at the American Academy of Cardiology. He has assisted with a nursing program and acted as a consultant for the Fresno Police Department's traffic division.
