Dr. Sailesh Konda is the Co-Director of Mohs Surgery and Surgical Dermatology and the Director of Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Surgery at the University of Florida. He grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida and left the sunshine state to complete his undergraduate and medical education at the George Washington University as part of a competitive Seven-Year B.S./M.D. program. He went on to complete an internship in Internal Medicine at Boston University/Boston Medical Center and worked as a Research Associate at the University of California, San Francisco. After completing his Dermatology Residency at Howard University Hospital and serving as chief resident during his final year, he received additional fellowship training in Mohs Surgery/Procedural Dermatology in Southern California at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He was fortunate to train under the direction of the current President of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Abel Torres. During his fellowship, he also worked at Riverside County Regional Medical Center and served as a Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Riverside. He has collaborated and co-authored numerous research publications and book chapters with colleagues from around the country.
Dr. Konda returned to Florida in 2015 and is excited to be back in the sunshine state and take care of his fellow Floridians. He is board certified in Dermatology and fellowship trained in Mohs Surgery. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Florida, where he teaches dermatology residents Mohs Surgery, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.
In Florida, dermatologist Dr. Konda offers care for patients in suffering from skin, nail & hair problems. Skin problems or conditions may include acne, dermatitis, psoriasis or melanoma, among others. Dr. Konda may offer treatments including but not limited to biopsies, prescription medications, laser therapy, and others.
