Nirschl Orthopaedic Center is located in the Physician Medical Building adjacent to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia. There is a multi-level pay parking garage (Green Parking) attached to our medical office.

Bio


  • BIOGRAPHY

A native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Ronald Paik graduated from the University of Virginia where he was in the Echols Scholar Honors Program. He received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School where he was selected as a National Institutes of Health Summer Research Fellow. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine in Chicago. He went on to pursue further fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the world renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, which pioneered the Tommy John surgical procedure for baseball pitchers.

Dr. Paik specializes in treating disorders of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. His goal is to pursue nonoperative treatments when possible but is experienced in arthroscopic procedures, surgical repair and reconstruction. Dr. Paik makes it a priority to ensure that his patients are well informed about their conditions and treatment options so that they can make educated decisions.

Dr. Paik has assisted in the medical and surgical care of multiple professional and collegiate teams including the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, and University of Southern California Trojans. He has published and presented on many orthopaedic topics. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
