Dr. Roman Isaac is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery.  He has advanced training in both arthroscopic and open treatments of the upper extremity.  At his offices located in Manhattan, NY, and the Hoboken and Edgewater, New Jersey, patients can receive treatment for conditions related to the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and tendon injuries. Dr. Isaac also perform fracture surgeries.   While born in Russia, Dr. Isaac moved to the United States and was raised in Queens, NY. After graduating from Hunter College of the City University of New York with honors and a degree in Biophysics, he attended New York Medical College. Dr. Isaac went on to do his internship in General Surgery at the Level 1 Trauma Center of St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City. Subsequently, Dr. Isaac finished his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the world-renowned Rothman Institute of Thomas Jefferson University in Pennsylvania. His training includes surgical and non-surgical treatment of orthopedic conditions in a variety of patients, including professional athletes. After completing his residency, Dr. Isaac spent an additional year of Fellowship training in surgery of the hand and upper extremity at Beth Israel Hand Surgery Center in New York City.
