About Dr. Stern
Dr. Stern

Bio


Dr. Richard Stern is a board-certified rheumatologist and internist who joined Rheumatology Associates in 2003. Dr. Stern has undergraduate degrees in psychology, biochemistry and biology from the University of North Texas. Upon graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, he practiced as a Physician Assistant in the field of orthopedics. Dr. Stern received his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital and the Dallas VA Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Rheumatology at UT Southwestern. He won a fellowship grant to work with Dr. Fredrick Wolfe and Dr. Theodore Pincus studying the Remicade® usage patterns in private practice in Dallas for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis which was published in the Journal of Rheumatology.
