Dr. Ramesh M. Gowda is a Cardiologist treating patients in New York. He specializes in Interventional Cardiology and holds certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, as well as The American Board of Vascular Medicine in Endovascular Medicine. He is also a member of The American College of Cardiology, The American College of Chest Physicians, The Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and Society for Vascular Medicine. 

Originally from India, Dr. Gowda attended Bangalore University, where he completed both Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine degrees. He traveled to the U.S. to complete a fellowship in urology and an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He has since completed fellowships in his cardiovascular areas of expertise at Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine. 

He practices both general and Interventional cardiology. He is proficient in radial access and various newer techniques to treat peripheral arterial diseases. Procedures performed include but not limited to coronary, carotid and peripheral angiography, Interventions and pericardiocentesis. Diagnostic testing available at practice locations include ECG, echo, stress echo, nuclear stress test, vascular ultrasound, non-invasive vascular testing, holter and event monitors.
