Dr. Rachel L. Moore is an experienced bariatric surgeon and the founder of Moore Metabolics in New Orleans. She offers non-surgical weight loss options, such as endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty and gastric balloons, as well as bariatric surgery, including gastric sleeve and gastric bypass. Dr. Moore is also an educator and an active advocate for effective obesity treatment policies in Louisiana. She is the vice president of the Louisiana chapter of the American College of Surgeons and a board member of the Louisiana chapter of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Moore is a Councilperson-at-Large on the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Executive Council, a position elected by her peers. 

Dr. Moore graduated from the University of Alabama and earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, and completed a residency in general surgery at Louisiana State University. She is a respected researcher and often participates in clinical trials and serves as an instructor for other surgeons.
