I treat the person with pain holistically, using an integrative pain management approach rather than treat the pain alone.

Bio

I knew I wanted to be a doctor at the age of 5 when my sister was born with a club foot that required orthopedic treatment. My uncle was an osteopathic OB-Gyn specialist who encouraged me to pursue an osteopathic education. I have always felt a calling to help people who are suffering. I acquired a broad education, starting with a BA from Rice University inn Psychobiology. I travelled around the country and Europe for a year, then attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.  I was trained in Family Practice with an interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions and psychiatry (Mind-Body). I also started doing daily meditation while studying eastern religions. While in medical school, I attended externships in neurology and psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic. I completed a general internship in Columbus, Ohio after which I entered into a Psychiatry residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. After I realized I didn't really want to become a psychiatrist after all, I went into Family Practice on the south side of Chicago for four years where I taught medical students at my Alma Mater.  I received training in hypnosis which I incorporated into my practice. Then, my wife and I moved to Seattle to find a more gentle climate and to enjoy the mountains and the Sound. I took up skiing and hiking.  I practiced Family Medicine in Redmond for a while, then moved my practice to Bellevue. I acquired Board Certification in Holistic Integrative Medicine.  I segued into Integrative Pain Management when I found a growing number of chronic pain patients who were not getting adequate care from specialists. Now I treat chronic pain and musculoskeletal pain using all the skills I acquired over years of dedicated practice. I enjoy working to help people cope better with chronic pain and suffering in order to improve the quality of their lives.
