As a rare native of North Carolina, I grew up here in a small town, did my residency training at the University of North Carolina and have had the great privilege of serving the community for more than 30 years at Durham OB-GYN. It is very rewarding to care for women in this interesting and diverse community during all stages of their reproductives lives, from the start of menses, through pregnancy and labor and delivery and into and beyond menopause. I value the relationships I develop with patients and their families over time. I also enjoy taking care of multiple generations of women within one family; it is a special experience to deliver the babies of women I delivered years ago! I listen carefully to each patient in order to understand her questions, concerns, hopes and needs. I want my patients to feel comfortable with me and confident that the care I provide is tailored specifically to each individual person.
