After completing his neurosurgical residency training and a fellowship in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery at UCLA, Dr. Pezeshkian joined the faculty at Kaiser Permanente Neurosurgery & Neuroscience department at Redwood City, California.
Dr. Pezeshkian has a broad range of interests in Neurosurgery, however, his areas of expertise and neurosurgical focus include DBS surgery for movement and neuropsychiatric disorders as well as neuromodulation procedures for chronic refractory pain syndromes. His practice also includes surgical procedures for refractory epilepsy in adults as well as Peripheral nerve & brachial plexus procedures for tumors and injuries.
As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Pezeshkian is trained to perform highly technical surgeries to correct disorders of the central, autonomic or peripheral nervous systems. He may provide both invasive and minimally-invasive surgical treatment options, depending upon the patient's condition.
