Why I care?
I have had the perspective of not only being the health care provider, but also the perspectives of a concerned family member and patient. These perspectives allow me to empathize with different individuals depending on the situation. My goal in every MDxpress visit is to inform patients and family members (when appropriate) of the treatment options in a timely and caring manner. Patient empowerment in healthcare delivery is more than just patient participation; it is understanding the impact of health care in the context of people’s lives.
Urgent care specialists offer immediate medical care to patients requiring time-sensitive treatment for a range of minor illnesses and injuries—especially those that are not serious enough to warrant a visit to the emergency room. Dr. Tieng provides care to patients who are who are not critically ill, but still require attention in order to prevent more serious complications from arising.
Specializing in emergency medicine, Dr. Tieng is prepared to treat patients suffering from a wide range of acute illnesses, injuries or conditions. Emergency physicians, or ER doctors, must incorporate knowledge and experience gained across a broad range of medical topics. Care is typically provided in the emergency room of a hospital.
