Dr. Etminan graduated Valedicatorian from Second Baptist High School in Houston. He was Suma Cum Laude at Georgetown University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He later graduated number one in his medical school class at Baylor College of Medicine. He received his Orthopaedic Surgery training from the prestigious UCLA orthopaedic surgery residency program. He further his training by receiving his spine training at the Hospital For Special Surgery in New York. Hosptial For Special Surgery has been ranked the #1 Orthopaedic Surgery Hospital in the country for the last 10 years. He returned home to Houston in 2001 where he has been dedicated to the care of patients with spinal disorders ever since. He has interested in operative and non-operative treatment of Spinal pathology as well as in the use of stem cell in treating degenerative disc disease and discogenic back pain.
As an orthopedic surgeon in Texas, Dr. Etminan is trained to diagnose and treat all types of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, including the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. After arriving at a specific diagnosis, Dr. Etminan will generally resort to surgery when all other treatment methods have been exhausted or ruled out. Patients may require the care of an orthopedic surgeon for fractures, torn ligaments, sprains, sports injuries, and more.
