Dr. Matthew Bogard is a medical professional focused on the practice of emergency medicine. In recognition of his accomplishments, he has received a number of awards including being named Family Physician of the Day in 2012 by the Nebraska Legislature. Furthermore, he received the James Leahy Award for his outstanding work as a senior medical student from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, his alma mater, and Dr. Matt Bogard was asked to serve a year as a Chief Resident Physician during his residency training. During his undergraduate tenure, Dr. Matthew Bogard was named Creighton University’s Outstanding Health Administration Student in 2005.
Today, Dr. Matthew Bogard utilizes his expertise primarily as a medical doctor at the Chariton, Iowa-based Lucas County Health Center as well OrthoNebraska in Omaha, NE and several other hospitals in Nebraska and Iowa. Prior to this, Dr. Matt Bogard worked as a staff physician with Acute Care, Inc., in Des Moines, Iowa, and with Urgent Care of Omaha and Norfolk in Nebraska.
An active member of his profession, Dr. Bogard is involved in several medical organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Metro Omaha Medical Society, and the Flying Physicians Association. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Physicians as well as the prestigious National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Bogard is pursuing dual-board certification in Family and Emergency medicine, an accomplishment that requires many hours of medical practice and extensive training.
