After completing his undergraduate work at Texas A&M University, Dr. Mark Wallis earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1988. Four years later, he completed his dermatology residency at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Little Rock.In practice since 1992, Dr. Wallis stays abreast of the latest technological advances in his field with active memberships in the Texas Medical Association, Gregg County Medical Society, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society, American Society of Micrographic Surgery, American Contact Dermatitis Society and the National Psoriasis Foundation. Dr. Wallis is also vice-president of the dermatology section of the Christian Medical and Dental Association. He is also a Fellow in the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Wallis is currently serving on the non-profit Board of Directors for Pine Cove Christian Camps. Dr. Wallis has been named by his peers to the Super Doctors® list published by Texas Monthly for the sixth year in a row.Dr. Wallis and his wife, Traci, have three children: Luke, Logan and Lydia. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, computers, reading, history and travel. Medical missions are an important part of his practice life as well.
