Bio

Dr. Jacobson is considered a thought leader in the specialty of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.  Dr. Jacobson is a past president of the Illinois Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ISAAI.org), and sits on its Continuing Education Committee and Executive Board.  He has been in private practice since 1995.

Dr Jacobson is board certified in Adult & Pediatric Allergy, Asthma, Clinical immunology and Primary Immune Deficiencies.  Our office sees children as young as 6 months old and adults into their 90s.  We do allergy testing, including environmental, foods, stinging insects and patch testing (for contact dermatitis)  We also test for asthma using spirometry.  Both of our doctors will partner with you to find the best way to take care of you.  Our doctors will spend a great deal of time educating you about your condition.  Both doctors strongly believe that it is important for you to be comfortable with the decisions that are being made about your health.

We are particularly good at managing allergic rhinitis, food allergy, acute and chronic sinus infections, hives, asthma, chronic cough, and conditions that "masquerade" as asthma such as vocal cord dysfunction. We also specialize in evaluating patients for primary immune deficiency
