Dr. Maria Conn is a leading pain medicine specialist offering advanced, patient-centered care for patients of all ages from Long Island, NY, and the Greater New York City area, including the Upper West Side, Upper East Side and Lower Manhattan (Downtown) areas. At New York Neurology Associates, Dr. Conn treats an array of acute and chronic medical conditions and diseases, including dizziness, vertigo and balance-related issues, migraines and other headaches, hyperhidrosis, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), stroke, memory problems, tremors and multiple sclerosis. Certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Conn is skilled in state-of-the-art diagnostic evaluations including nerve conduction studies (NCS), EEG, EMG and NCV tests, transcranial and carotid Doppler studies, and evoked potential studies (VEP, BAER, SSEP), and has extensive experience in innovative and traditional approaches to care, including BOTOX injections for chronic headaches, muscle spasms and other conditions, facet joint blocks and sacroiliac joint blocks and injections, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency facet joint ablation, carpal tunnel steroid injections, TMJ injections and deep brain stimulation (DBS).After completing her undergraduate studies at New York University with majors in biology and Spanish literature, Dr. Conn earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, followed by an internship with the Westchester County Medical Center, a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, and a fellowship in pain medicine and palliative care at Beth Israel Medical Center.
