Dr. Fiszer received his medical degree from Favaloro University, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2001. He finished his internship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NY in 2005 before he moved to New Orleans to complete his general surgery residency in 2009. During the last years of his training he became more interested in advanced laparoscopic and weight loss surgery which made him pursue additional training. He joined the Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Program at the University of South Florida where he finished his fellowship in 2010. Dr. Fiszer is the first surgeon in the Greenwood area to complete a Fellowship in minimally invasive surgery with an emphasis on weight loss surgery. Dr. Fiszer joined Premier Surgical Services, PA in September 2010. His practice focuses on all aspects of laparoscopic surgery and includes a full range of general surgery issues such as diseases of the breast and new approaches in gastroesophageal reflux and hernia management, as well as weight loss surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgeons (ASMBS).
