Dr. Leila Zackrison graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1988 before completing a residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC in 1991. She then completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at Georgetown University Medical Center in 1993.

Rheumatologists are specialized physicians who treat arthritis and other rheumatic diseases—those that affect the muscles, joints and bones. Dr. Zackrison can diagnose and treat highly complex conditions, including those that affect other organs and systems like the brain, kidneys, blood vessels or lungs.
