Dr. Greenberg earned his BS Magna cum Laude from The City College of New York with Honors in Chemistry and his MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NY. He finished his Residency in Psychiatry as Chief Resident and completed his Fellowship in Biological Psychiatry. Dr. Greenberg’s work history includes serving as Medical Director at South Oaks Hospital in NY, Chief of Psychiatry at Northport VA Medical Center, and Vice Chairman for VA Affairs at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. During his 30+ years of experience, he has also participated in several publications including a chapter in the book “Pharmacology of Therapeutic Agents Used in Anesthesia: An Introduction.” Dr Greenberg is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American College of Physician Executives. He currently practices in our Cary, NC office where he specializes in the treatment of mood disorders, geriatric disorders, PTSD, and ADD for ages 18 and up.
Dr. Lawrence Greenberg is a psychiatrist, or a primary care doctor for psychological health. He works on the psychological well-being of men and women, with an ability to identify and treat all of the different types of psychological illness. These might include things like depressive disorders, eating disorders, bipolar disorder or anxiety disorders, for example. Dr. Greenberg may provide treatments ranging from medication management plans to unique types of therapy.
