My goal is to provide high quality, efficient, patient-centered care to everyone. I believe in honest assessments and will tell you what I think. I offer minimally invasive surgical approaches wherever possible, as this has been shown to have a variety of benefits to the patient including reduced pain and length of hospital stay.
I am a Southern California native specializing in laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures for a variety of diseases including colon and rectal cancer, endoscopic polyp removal, diverticulitis, and the treatment and management of anorectal disorders. I am dual board certified in both colorectal and general surgery.
Colorectal surgeons like Dr. Cologne specialize in the surgical and non-surgical care for structures of the lower digestive system, including the intestines, colon and rectum. Dr. Cologne may treat conditions such as colon and rectal cancer, polyps, fecal incontinence, ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel disease and hemorrhoids. In the past, colorectal surgeons were commonly known as "proctologists."
