Dr. Rieniets is a licensed osteopathic physician with ABIM board certification in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine.
She founded West Denver Endocrinology in late 2017 after several years employment with Banner health in Greeley Colorado.
Prior to transitioning to the civilian sector in 2013, she was an active duty army physician. Military assignments included Chief of Endocrinology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC), WBAMC and Uniformed Services University faculty appointments, & chief of medicine for the 47th combat support hospital, Tikrit Iraq.
Endocrinology fellowship and internal medicine residency completed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2009 & 2007.
Graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. Undergraduate education completed at Colorado State University.
Expertise in thyroid care, diabetes management, metabolic bone disease, pituitary/adrenal disease, and general clinical Endocrinology.

Endocrinology
Endocrinologists are trained to treat patients for a variety of hormonal diseases and disorders, such as diabetes. Dr. Rieniets can diagnose and create treatment plans for conditions like growth disorders, obesity, low testosterone, osteoporosis and various thyroid disorders, among others. Treatments provided by an endocrinologist may include medication management or hormone therapies.

Diabetology
Specializing in the treatment of diabetes, Dr. Rieniets cares for patients suffering from all types and stages of the disease such as types I and II, or gestational diabetes. Diabetologists work closely with diabetic patients to formulate a personalized, comprehensive plan that includes a diabetes-friendly diet and exercise regimen, in addition to any prescription medications or treatment procedures that are deemed necessary.
