Cardiac Surgery
Dr. Joshua Kindelan is a cardiac surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of heart and cardiovascular disorders. These could include atherosclerosis, endocarditis, valvular, or congenital heart disease, rheumatic, and ischemic. Dr. Kindelan may perform operations including heart transplant surgery, coronary artery bypass, surgical implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, or heart valve repair.

Thoracic Surgery
Following rigorous and lengthy training, thoracic surgeons are uniquely qualified to perform complex surgeries on the chest, or thorax as it is sometimes called. Their focus is usually on the lungs, esophagus, and other areas of the chest, and may also include the heart. As such, Dr. Kindelan may see patients in North Dakota for a wide range of surgeries, for example removing cancer causing tumors from the esophagus and chest wall, or even a lung transplant.
