My practice philosophy is simple: treat all patients as though they were family members. With this guiding principle in mind, I strive to:

• Be available to my patients. I am not part of a large call group. My patients will always reach either myself or my partner, Dr. Reiner. Additionally, I give my direct cell number to patients who have had surgery.
• Work closely with referring and primary care physicians. I welcome phone calls from other doctors and make every attempt to work patients in as quickly as possible, often the same day if necessary.
• Inform and educate my patients. I firmly believe in including the patient in the decision-making process as much as possible. To make the best decision possible, a patient needs to understand not only their condition, but the various treatment options available.
• Practice efficient medicine. In a world of ever-rising costs of healthcare, I aim to provide high-quality care while containing costs where possible and appropriate. I utilize mostly outpatient imaging and laboratory facilities, which provide equivalent quality testing at generally lower costs than hospital-based facilities. Whenever possible, I perform outpatient surgical procedures at ambulatory surgery centers, which generally reduces costs compared to hospital operating rooms. In addition, I perform procedures such as balloon sinus dilation in the office, which eliminates costs associated with general anesthesia and operating room expenses.
