Dr. Jon Peterson received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, and his medical degree from the University of Southern California.  He did his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Denver General Hospital in Denver Colorado.  He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and in Urgent Care medicine and was an oral examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine for almost 10 years.  Dr. Peterson has taught Emergency Medicine at Barnes Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, and at the Medical College of Virginia.  He is an active member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association and has a strong interest in foreign missions.  He and his wife Megan live in Martinsville. They have 5 children and 8 grandchildren.
