Dr. Trupiano practices a full scope of Plastic Surgery with an emphasis on Aesthetic Surgery. An experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Trupiano obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Wayne State University. Continuing his education, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1997. Dr. Trupiano completed his Residency in General Surgery at Akron General Medical Center, Akron Ohio in 2002 and his Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2003. Upon returning to Michigan, Dr. Trupiano completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at Wayne State University-Detroit Medical Center in 2005. Dr. Trupiano is committed to the highest standards of skill, ethics and patient care. He believes in the surgeon-patient team approach for a patient’s optimal level of well being. Therefore, Dr. Trupiano approaches his patient relationships with compassion and respect and believes in the importance of patient education and communication.
Specializing in the field of cosmetic surgery, Dr. Trupiano performs surgical and non-surgical procedures to improve or restore the aesthetics of a specific feature of body part. Cosmetic surgery may include rhinoplasty (or "nose jobs"), chin reshaping, face or necklifts, lipsuction or tummy tucks. A mainstay of cosmetic surgery, breast procedures such as breast augmentation, reduction, or lifts are among the most popular procedures performed by cosmetic surgeons.
Plastic surgeons perform a wide variety of surgeries that can restore or correct the form and function of the human body, which can be either cosmetic or reconstructive in nature. Dr. Trupiano is able to correct abnormalities of the body that may be causing adverse health effects, or perform surgeries to correct malformations caused by birth defects, trauma, tumors or disease.
