Dr. John Barnard graduated from University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1980 before completing a residency in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1983. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1986.
