Dr. Joel Hardin is a consultant cardiologist at Emory University School of Medicine’s nationally accredited Adult Congenital Heart Center. He is board-certified in adult congenital heart disease and pediatric cardiology. His clinical expertise includes caring for the entire spectrum of congenital heart diseases among pediatric and adult patients. He also has expertise in caring for people with Marfan syndrome, Loeys-Dietz syndrome, women with congenital heart disease who are pregnant, and women who have cardiovascular involvement with Turner syndrome.
Dr. Hardin is a veteran of military service, attaining the rank of Commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps, Fleet Marine Forces. He last served on active duty with 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force forward deployed to Iraq in 2004. He honorably departed military service in 2006.
