Joann Blessing-Moore, MD is boarded in allergy, asthma, and immunology as well as Pediatric pulmonology. She trained at Stanford and Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital and remained on faculty codirecting the Pediatric allergy pulmonary clinic and the adult allergy clinic for over 7 years. She then moved on to Private Practice in 1991 and has continued to maintain offices in Palo Alto and San Mateo. She continued to teach at the university as adjunct clinical faculty and also taught in the Physicians' Assistant Program. She works as a researcher, consultant, and speaker for several of our international drug companies and publishes extensively on allergy pulmonary issues, including book chapters as well as journal articles. She worked with the FDA on the Allergy Pulmonary advisory committee. She is an editor for the Parameters of Care for Asthma, Allergy, Immunology. She is frequently on NBC and works with local educational programs. She has also worked in India, Hong Kong, and the Philippines as well as Europe. She has ongoing research projects, publishes frequently and loves to teach. She is a reviewer for several journals as well as on the editorial staff. She was voted “Woman of the Year in Allergy in 2000”  by the ACAAI and continues to be very involved in that organization as well as AAAAI, ATS, ACCP and the state, county and local organizations (CSAAI, SMCMS, etc.). She serves on the Medical staff for Mill-Penninsula Hospitals , El Camino Hosptial, and Lucille Packard C
